Our capacity building efforts are geared towards empowering communities especially women and young girls on the importance of engaging in economic activities. In these training we equip participants with skills on: a) Identification, start-ups and managing micro & small-scale businesses; b) Bookkeeping and Financial Management; c) Developing simplified business plans.

Patricia Odera started an Early Childhood Development Education School in Nyalenda Slum that is offering affordable education to slum children.  She has employed three ECDE teachers from the community and given room to stay at home mothers to engage in micro & small-scale enterprises.

Lucy started a small tailoring school that is training such women.  The women have received orders for school uniforms from local ECDE and primary schools in the area thus earning an income as they train.

These economic activities result in healthy communities.  A people who are now able to consistently provide food, education, healthcare and shelter for their families and contribute to the overall growth of the community.
