Patricia Odera an ECDE teacher was moved by the many women who were stay-at-home mothers and could not engage in income-generating activities as they had to look after their children.  Patricia who attended our 2012 training teamed up with Mary an alumna of our 2013 class and started Blessed Daycare and ECDE School in Nyalenda slum in 2013. They began with one child and the enrollment has since increased to 44 children. This has resulted to an increase in the employement of skilled teachers as well.  The mothers are now initiating and running small-scale businesses ranging from vegetable kiosks, small food outlets and rural outfit stores.

Patricia and Mary are happy to be able to provide these children with affordable education, create job opportunities and raise a generation of young servant leaders.
